Join a successful recycling team as a Compliance Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization adheres to all regulatory standards and internal policies. Specifically this will be to manage site health and safety, employment law, and ISO systems . In this energetic and vital position, you will lead compliance initiatives, oversee, internal audits, and foster a culture of integrity and transparency. Your expertise will help us navigate ever changing environmental regulations, maintain rigorous compliance management practices, and uphold the highest standards of accountability across all departments. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive compliance programs aligned with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Lead internal audits to assess adherence to financial, operational, and regulatory standards, identifying areas for improvement.
• Oversee regulatory reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation to authorities.
• Monitor changes in health and safety, environmental, and employment law; and industry best practices to keep the organization ahead of compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance management into daily operations and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance policies, ethical standards, and risk mitigation practices.
• Investigate compliance issues or breaches promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in compliance management within an industrial business.
• NEBOSH or other H&S qualification.
• HR experience required but not essential
• Excellent organisational skills and a desire to reduce admin.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and translate them into actionable policies.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively train teams and report findings to senior leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

Competetive salary based on experience.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in a manufacturing / production / recycling environment .Ideally, you will also hold a current counter-balance FLT licence, although this is not essential.

The position offers 22 flexible days of holiday (pro-rata) and all Bank Holidays (under normal circumstances).

‍The rate of pay for this position £12.71 per hour for all staff. You must be over 18 to apply.

The site operates two shift patterns:

‍Pattern 1: (alternates weekly)

Week #1:
06.00 - 14.00: Monday to Thursday.
06.00 - 13.00: on Friday.

Week #2:
14.00 - 22.00: Monday to Thursday.
13.00 - 20.00: on Friday.

‍Pattern 2:
08.00 - 16.30: Monday to Thursday.
08.00 - 15.30: on Friday.

**You must be available to work either shift pattern.**

‍(Pattern 1 also attracts a shift bonus of £50.00 per completed week).

Monthly bonus of £100.00 for full attendance.

It is also possible to attain further skills-based bonus payments upon the completion of training to operate certain specific equipment. Voluntary overtime is also regularly available.
